7 + years teaching | Pregnancy, Postnatal & Beginners | Favourite beach: Rainbow Point Nicola is the co-founder of Shore Yoga and brings over seven years of teaching experience, specialising in pregnancy, postnatal, beginners, and women’s yoga. Trained in yoga for women’s health, she is deeply passionate about supporting people through pregnancy and the fourth trimester, offering a nurturing, inclusive space to move, rest, and reconnect. Nicola also leads specialist workshops, including SUP Yoga, and plays a vital role in shaping the studio’s calm, grounded atmosphere. Her classes emphasise community, connection, and self-awareness—values that are central to Shore Yoga’s ethos and everyday rhythm.

4 + years teaching | Vinyasa | Yin | Restorative Favourite Beach: Cullercoats Bay. Sally is a fully qualified yoga teacher with a special interest in Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and Restorative practices. Her classes are thoughtfully themed around the changing seasons, encouraging students to tune into the rhythms of nature and their own bodies. With a calm, reflective teaching style, she creates a space for balance, strength, and stillness. At Shore Yoga, she primarily teaches from the beautiful Watch House overlooking Cullercoats Harbour—and is often spotted taking a refreshing sea dip after class.

7+ years teaching | Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin & Restorative Yoga | Favourite beach: Blyth South Beach Becky is passionate about sharing the calming benefits of a regular, relaxed yoga practice. Her classes are welcoming and accessible to all levels, helping students find space, balance, and peace. With experience in Vinyasa, Hatha, beginners, gentle yoga, Yin, and Restorative, Becky tailors her sessions to nurture both the body and mind. Whether you're new to yoga or experienced, her classes invite you to unwind, recharge, and explore your body’s potential. Becky also offers 1:1 sessions for more personalised support.

4 + years teaching | Family Yoga, Hatha & Yin | Favourite beach: Tynemouth Fi is a key part of the Shore Yoga family team, delivering joyful, inclusive sessions for children, families, and little movers, as well as calming Hatha and Yin yoga for adults. Her intuitive, deeply supportive teaching style creates space for all ages to feel safe, seen, and at ease. Whether guiding a lively group of toddlers or leading a gentle evening practice, Fi brings calm and warmth to every class. Her soothing presence makes light work of a sun salutation (or two), helping everyone connect with their breath, body, and a sense of balance.

Recently qualified yoga teacher | Vinyasa | Favourite destination: Bali Benny, recently qualified in 2024, teaches Vinyasa yoga with a focus on fluid movement and empowerment. Each class is designed around a unique theme, aiming to inspire and ground students while catering to all levels of experience. Benny incorporates pranayama (breathwork) and meditation into her sessions, offering a well-rounded practice that nurtures both body and mind. Her teaching style encourages connection, strength, and mindfulness, allowing students to move with intention and ease.

Pilates Specialist | Favourite beach: TBC discovered Pilates in 2013 when she was struggling with intense back pain due to hypermobile joints. After experiencing immediate relief, she became passionate about the practice. With a deep understanding of how Pilates can support the body, Piera holds various qualifications, including a BCP Level 3 Matwork Certification, and has expanded her expertise with courses on Hypermobility, Ante & Postnatal Pilates, and more. Piera has also worked with Deaf Awareness NE, offering Pilates to those with hearing difficulties and making the practice more accessible. She’s dedicated to helping others move with ease, strength, and awareness, regardless of ability.

4 + years teaching | Breathwork, Animal Flow & Outdoor Yoga | Favourite beach: King Edward’s Bay David is the co-founder of Shore Yoga and brings a fresh, grounded approach to movement through his unique blend of yoga, breathwork, Animal Flow, and outdoor practice. With a passion for exploring the full potential of the body and breath, David’s classes are both energising and accessible, inviting students to move with curiosity and freedom. His laid-back, down-to-earth teaching style makes everyone feel welcome while still offering a strong, invigorating challenge. Whether on the mat or out in nature, David delivers a yoga experience like no other—honest, raw, and always full of heart.

6+ years teaching | Vinyasa & Family Yoga | Favourite beach: Whitley Bay Sarah’s yoga journey began during a challenging time in her life, and since then, yoga has become a vital source of strength, calm, and balance. After training in 2018 while pregnant with her son, she developed a deep understanding of how yoga can support all stages of life. Sarah brings warmth, relatability, and a nurturing presence to her classes—helping others find space, steadiness, and joy on the mat. Her teaching blends movement with mindfulness, always with the intention to "nurture the nurturer."

Her classes are welcoming and inclusive, ensuring everyone can enjoy movement that feels good and supports overall wellbeing. Jo’s approach focuses on creativity, self-expression, and a holistic understanding of the body.
